Former world heavyweight champion and boxing legend George Foreman will be given the major biopic treatment, with Sony set to release Big George Foreman: The Miraculous Story of the Once and Future Heavyweight Champion of the World in theaters on April 28, 2023.
Khris Davis will portray Foreman in the film, which also stars Forest Whitaker, and looks like it will cover Foreman’s entire career and those times in his career outside of the ring, too, which led him from part one of his career into part two, which were quite different.
George Foreman, also known as Big George, is a retired American professional boxer. He was born on January 10, 1949, in Marshall, Texas. Foreman is a two-time world heavyweight champion, having first won the title in 1973 and then regaining it in 1994 at the age of 45, a record in boxing history. Foreman is widely regarded as one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time and has been inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
Outside of boxing, Foreman is also known for his successful career as a pitchman and entrepreneur, and for his work as a minister and author. He has endorsed a number of products, including the George Foreman grill, and has written several books, including his autobiography, By George. Foreman remains a popular figure in the world of sports and continues to be a sought-after public speaker.
